But I am a bit older than you and had been to many concerts before that one. I actually went because of the opening band, Be Bop Deluxe. As great as Bill Nelson is, his band just didn't translate well that night. Too big of a venue? I actually enjoyed Styx more than Be Bop Deluxe that night! Tommy Shaw's guitar work was mind blowing. I can still picture him in front of the stage speakers, effortlessly transforming a guitar solo into a soundscape of epic proportions. Good times. I was at that show, too.
